The Government of the Northwest Territories and wildlife co-management partners throughout the Northwest Territories are pleased to announce that the 20th North American Caribou Workshop (NACW) will be held in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada from June 15th to 19th, 2026. The theme for NACW-2026 will be ‘United by Caribou’. A conference website will be launched soon.
Please join us for the 17th Arctic Ungulate Conference in Rovaniemi, Finland, from May 10-14, 2027. This conference brings together reindeer herders, wildlife managers, hunters, researchers, developers, administrators and students to share cutting-edge knowledge about reindeer, moose, caribou, muskoxen, Dall sheep, and other Arctic ungulates.
Hosted by the University of Lapland and Lapland University of Applied Sciences, in collaboration with the Natural Resources Institute Finland, Reindeer Herders Association of Finland, and Finnish Forest Research Administration, the conference will take place in the heart of Finnish Lapland. University consortium facilities in Rovaniemi provide the perfect setting for this important knowledge exchange.

Jokkmokk 2019 The 15th Arctic Ungulate Conference was held in Jokkmokk, Sweden, 12-16 August 2019.
Røros 2015 The 14th Arctic Ungulate Conference was held in Røros, Norway, 17-21 August 2015.
